Nyaera is a Lawful Good Elven wizard who is a descendant of the Aurym, an ancient sect of elves who sages say were once been dragon riders. They are now a small society who lives in the Northwest of Laea in the Elderwood forest near the shores of the Sapphire Bay. Every few generations, an elf is born who has has golden hair–the Dracaurym. These are the descendants of Auron, a golden dragon who gave up his draconic form out of love for the maiden elf queen Ellyth. Auron and Ellyth have long since passed over the Western Seas, but stories of their life are still kept by the Aurym.
Dracaurym are prone to travel and adventure, a trait that is not shared by their fellow Aurym. They tend to have unusual talents, but not every Dracaurym has the same ones. Some are strong, some are prescient, some can produce magical fire, etc. All, however, are cunning and difficult to deceive.
